my rules for roleplay

. I am an adult with a full-time job and would consider myself casual. If you intend to plot with me, please know that I am not what most people would consider a heavy roleplayer. I do love talking about roleplay, headcanoning, and taking screenshots - but only dedicate one or two nights a week at most to really sit down and write a full scene in-game. if writing in discord, there may be days where my responses are not very prompt.. I enjoy roleplay of all kinds, though I tend to avoid casual tavern roleplay due to my attention span unless it has a specific purpose. I do engage in roleplay that contain dark or mature material but reserve the right to leave a scene or storyline if I no longer feel comfortable. Consent is extremely important in all things - collaborative writing included.. I do use mods and have mare, but usually only share my code with others that I'm comfortable with.

. RP both short term and long term.
. RP connections (new, or pre-established) of all sorts (friends, enemies, business associates/clients, lovers).
. RP with purpose (though the occasional tavern RP doesn't hurt).
. Morally gray characters / writers that're cool with dark/mature themes.
. Low-maintenance writers that understand life/work come first.
. I prefer to do my roleplaying in-game. I am located on the Mateus server on the Crystal data center, though traveling to other servers is easy. While I will write a scene in Discord, for attention-span reasons I prefer to get my writing done in-game.

. Please do not interact with me if not of legal age - preferably 21+. I am an adult in my 30's, and curate my space to include other - and only - adults. This is absolutely non-negotiable, so please don't waste my time or yours.. Communication and transparency are extremely important, especially when trying to find an RP partner. Any romance-related storylines should always be discussed between the players prior to. Consent is important in all things and that includes writing and collaborative roleplay. If at any point I feel uncomfortable by a scene I'm in, I reserve the right to leave.. I have a 0% tolerance policy against racism, transphobia, or any form of bigotry. Please do not darken my doorstep with your bullshit or hate speech.

___august was born in the twelveswood and lived amongst his duskwight kin through cave networks and underground gelmorran villages until young adulthood. those that know him well enough - or do enough digging - know that he has family ties still in the twelveswood that serve as a motivating factor in making a successful livelihood. despite his troubled past, many duskwight and shroudborn elezen consider him a story of success.

   II.
___long before reaching the point he finds himself today, august was a ruthless highwayman and cutthroat amongst the ranks of a criminal outfit in the twelveswood that call themselves the bladefeather brotherhood. a thief, a poacher, a murderer; he and his brethren wore many hats and took many titles - none of which were clean or lawful. though he rarely speaks of it, the symbol of the brotherhood still remains etched in ink on his forearm: a dagger entwined with a winding serpent, itching to strike.

___ at one point august had fled the twelveswood and started a new life in ishgard, earning his way through the ranks of the skysteel manufactory to become a card-carrying machinist. he has precise aim with a pistol or revolver - even at night, given his vision. fast on the draw and faster on the trigger, je jas earned a reputation as a grimly efficient mercenary that's unafraid to get his hands dirty for the right price or reason.

___word around the twelveswood and beyond is that august orellium is a wanted man - sought for murder, with a hefty bounty on his head and orders from gridania to bring him in dead or alive. while he still moves through the forests with little fear of bounty hunters, he never lingers in gridania proper for long. bribes, favors, and well-placed whispers have seen his face quietly scrubbed from more than a few bounty boards; but the threat remains ever-present and unresolved.
